Hour one: Hayden Planetarium.  We begin this hour with Brian Abbott, the Assistant Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History.  Topic focuses on answering "What is the Digital Universe?" The Digital Universe, developed by the American Museum of Natural History's Hayden Planetarium, incorporates data from dozens of organizations worldwide to create the most complete and accurate 3-D atlas of the Universe from the local solar neighborhood out to the edge of the observable Universe. The technology used today in one of the country's most prestigious Planetatium is so much different than how it was done 30 years ago.  Computers play a most important role in displayiing the Digital Universe to audiences worldwide!

  1. Nice to have those all archived like that. Ultimately, those kinds of experiences should be up for wide and easy access, since they can be such services too. Good thing there are so many ready platforms on the internet to put our different lists into.
