Lunar Landing: July 20, 1969

1969 - American astronaut Neil Armstrong, nearly 240,000 miles from earth, spoke these words to millions listening at home: "That's one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind." (This is often quoted without the word "a.") A few seconds later, he became the first human to walk on the moon.
