Voices from Tech

Finally getting around to starting one of my many projects: Setting up my huge Enermax case (Thanks, Uncle Howard!) as a file storage computer. I'm using my Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherboard with an AMD Athlon XP2800 CPU. It will run three sticks of 512MBs of RAM, in DDR form. There is a Sony CDrw, the memory card reader from an old eMachine, a Maxtor drive controller card with two SATA and one PATA port, a SoundBlaster Audigy sound card, an MSI ti4200-64 video card. Now to install XP Pro, it's what I have, and then copy all the data fromt eh 80GB HDs to the 120GB HDs. And then park it till I need to copy off data.
