Hour one: G.TEC (intendiX). In this hour we discuss the Brain-Computer-Interface or BCI. A Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) provides a new communication channel between the human brain and a computer. Mental activity involves electrical activity, and these electrophysiological signals can be detected. The BCI system detects such changes and transforms them into control signals, which can be used for moving objects, writing letters, opening doors, changing TV channels and other everyday household activities. This technology helps people with limited mobility increase their independence. One of the main goals is to enable completely paralyzed patients to communicate with their environment.

Friday
----------
Hour two/First half: SolePower. What if people could charge their phones by going for a walk? No electricity, no power outlets, no more dealing with dead phone batteries. This idea actually isn't too farfetched. A fully funded  Kickstarter campaign has already got them funding for a power generating shoe insert that lets users charge portable devices like smartphones, music players, and GPS devices -- while they walk!
