If you are having problems opening Adobe Reader PDF files in Firefox, try changing this setting to have Adobe Reader open instead of in Firefox:
1. Click on "Tools". Then click on "Options".
2. Click on the "Applications tab.
3. In the applications list find Portable Document File (PDF).
4. Click on "PDF". Open the drop down menu that appears and select "Use Adobe Reader (Default).
If
you do not see "Use Adobe Reader (Default)". Select "Use Other". Then
choose "Adobe Reader" in the list of applications. If Adobe Reader is
not listed please download it for free at get.adobe.com/reader
